Ardee St Marys

The Kelloggs Cul Camp will be taking place at Ardee St Marys from July 3rd to July 7th this year, fro 10am to 2.30pm daily. The cost of the camp is €60 and includes the Cul Camp gear. If you are interested in registering your child, please go to the following link where more information is available.

The Ardee St Marys Academy has returned and boys and girls aged 4-7 are welcome to join in the action-packed one hour of fun. This is a great introduction to GAA and the coaches focus on the child’s agility, balance and coordination through games and fun exercises.

The annual fee is €30 per child . No football boots or gumshields are required – just bring water. It’s on Saturdays at 11am.

The club’s ‘Buy a Seat Make a Stand’ is proving very popular and you still have time to get involved. It’s your opportunity to engrave your name or the name of a loved one on the club’s new stand. The seat costs €150 or you can set up direct debit over 5 months.

There was no winner of this week’s Ardee St Marys lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 3 9 10 and 13. The €50 winner was Linda Martin and the €20 winners were Marie Lynch, Saoirse Brady and Paddy McAteer.

Next week’s jackpot will be €9,000. There will also be a special prize for any current active or new online players, with an online only draw for a €30 Super Valu voucher.

Ardee St Mary’s GFC club fundraising lotto draws, run on a weekly basis, play a huge part in the fundraising efforts of the club. The club lotto is very generously sponsored by Carrick Road Service Station, Carrick Road, Ardee.

The club shop has loads of ziptops, training tops, hoodies and anything you need. The summer opening hours are Tuesdays 7-8pm and Friday 8pm-8.30pm.

Sean McDermotts

Sean McDermotts hold their new major fundraiser – a Country Music Barn Dance and Concert – next month. Headlined by Lee Matthews, who recently appeared on The Late Late Show and also featuring Claire Dillon, the event takes place at McGahon’s Bar in Churchtown on Saturday July 1st.

Tickets will be available on the door on the night and will cost €20. They are also available from Moods Boutique, Declan Curran Expert, Collon Dismantlers, Churchtown Bar and also from Committee members: Barry McMahon, Fergal Finn, Denis McCourt, Mark Duffy, Brendan McGahon, Conor Lynch, Dermot Clarke, Pat Matthews, Eugene Woods or any Club member.

John Mitchels

The club’s new Body Active Fitness Bootcamp are continuing at 7pm in at the club ground three nights a week. The camp are now on the fifth week of the programme but newcomers are always welcome.

The bootcamp is designed to get the most results in the shortest possible allowable time. Using body weighted exercises, you can improve endurance, burn fat, re-sculpture your body, increase your strength and flexibility and of course become fitter and healthier.

The bootcamp runs on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays at the club house at 7pm. Part of the funds raised through the Bootcamp will go to Cancer Research.

There was no winner of this week’s John Mitchels Lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 7 10 21 and 27. The five €20 winners were Peter Halpenny c/o Railway Bar, Frank McGrath c/o Gerry Matthews, Jim Gartlan c/o P Kane, Tom Tallon c/o A Black, Paddy McGuinness c/o P McGuinness. Next week’s jackpot is €5,000.

Lotto Envelopes are available in Landy’s Irish Harp Bar, Ardee Post Office or from any Committee member. Draw takes place every Tuesday night in the clubrooms. The club thanks you for your continued support as all funds raised go towards the development of the club for members and the Community.

With the new Gaelic season gearing up to get going for both adults and juveniles, John Mitchels have now launched their online shop. Club gear can be purchased for all ages – so now there is no excuse not to be turned out in Mitchels colours whether you are a player or supporter! Hunterstown Rovers

Hunterstown Rovers will host a Couch to 5k starting on Tuesday July 4th which will run up to Tiarnan’s 5K Family Fun Run which will take place on the Sunday Sept 10th.

Hunterstown Rovers’ bingo continues as usual and is on this Friday at 8pm in Ardee Parish Centre. There are some great cash prizes to be won, including – after last week’s €4,100 was won – the jackpot of €1,000. Over €1,500 worth of prizes are given away every week. Bingo books start at €6.

There was no winner of the Hunterstown Rovers GFC Lotto this week. The jackpot remains at €10,000 on Sunday.

Tickets are available for the club weekly lotto draw from bingo, any committee member and the Hunterstown Inn. They are only €2. The club would like to thank Denis McKenna & Son Building Contractors for kindly sponsoring the lotto tickets this year.

You can now sign up for three months lotto for only €25, so you’ll never miss your chance to win the jackpot. All you have to do is pick four numbers and you will be included in the club lotto draw every Sunday night. Contact Dessie on 087 681 1945 or any committee member to sign up.

Westerns GFC

A great total of €500 euro was raised for the club’s juvenile section thanks to last Saturday’s charity clothes collection. The club thank all who contributed.

Westerns GFC host a fundraising quiz in aid of their new club rooms in The Danny Boy in Reaghstown next Friday (June 23rd). The quiz gets underway at 9pm sharp with a table of four costing €40. Refreshments will be served and there will a raffle for a hamper and spot prizes too.

Club membership is now due. Membership costs €35 or you can play €120 for membership and a year’s lotto subscription. You can contact any committee member to pay your fees.

Girls registration money is also now due. The cost is €25 for U12, U14 and U16. The full cost is €53 with the club paying the balance. U10’s pay €20. Please put in an envelope with child’s name and give to Catherine, Terri or Lorraine.

There was no winner of last week’s lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 01 07 19 and 23. There were two Match 3 winners last week – Paul & Pauline Kennedy and Patrick McEneaney who won €225 each. This week’s lotto jackpot is €14,800. Match 3 is €150. The draw takes place at Brady’s Bar (tonight).

The jackpot increases by €150 each week if it is not won and Match 3 starts at €150 and increases by €150 if not won. This week’s jackpot is €14,800 and the Match 3 is €150.

Ardee Celtic

The FAI Summer Soccer Schools return to Townparks this summer from Monday July 10th to Friday July 14th. The price is the same as last year at €65. All participants will receive a FAI Summer Soccer Schools kit, backpack and football – as well as experiencing a week of fun and expert coaching.

Additionally, the club are holding a Registration Day for the FAI Summer Soccer Schools (All boys and girls aged 6-14 yrs) this coming Saturday, 17th June from 11.30am to 12.30pm in the clubhouse at Townparks.

Tickets for Ardee Celtic’s Bonus Ball draw are available from any Ardee Celtic Committee member and in the clubhouse also. All you have to do is match the bonus ball in the midweek National Lottery main draw. It’s €2 per pick or €5 for three.

Square United

The details for the 2017 Nettuno Cup have been released (below).

Every Sunday you can play Square United’s ‘Find The Joker’ game in Hamills. Last week’s jackpot of €1,800 was not won. Decie O’Brien won €50 and Bridie Minogue won €25.

Tickets are €2 each or three for €5. Tickets are available from Hamills at any time or from a committee person. Next week’s jackpot is €1,900 which will be played for next Sunday.

The club’s 206/17 juvenile awards takes place on Saturday June 17th at Ardee Parish Centre, from 7.15pm. There will be a medal presentation and POTY awards from all age groups.

Ardee Rugby Club

The club’s 2017 AGM takes place tonight (Thursday, June 15th) at 8pm at the clubhouse. All are welcome to attend. The club are seeking volunteers from the local community to contribute to the club in a number of ways, including the youth section.
