Irish Wheelchair Association Ardee
John Street Ind Park, Ardee, Co. Louth
Providing resource and outreach services in Ardee, the aim of the centre is to provide opportunities and support services to people with disabilities and mobility impairment so they can lead a full, active and independent life in their own community.
The Irish Wheelchair Association is a voluntary organisation that works with people with both physical and sensory disabilities.
The Irish Wheelchair Association has a long association with Ardee – dating all the way back to 1974 – providing support for residents and their families for many years and also basing it’s regional headquarters in the town.
Initially set up by a small group of volunteers in the Day Care Centre, the association in Ardee now has the resource centre, their shop on John Street and is a real base for the IWA in the North East.
