Ardee St Marys GFC
Pairc Mhuire, Blakestown, Ardee, Co. Louth
Founded in 1928, Ardee St Marys are the biggest GAA club in the Ardee area and are based at their Pairc Mhuire home in the town itself.
They are historically the most successful side in Mid-Louth, winning 11 Louth Senior Football Championships. Their last triumph was back in 1995 when they beat St Patrick’s in Dromiskin.
In 2016, the Marys’ senior side won the Paddy Sheelan Cup before reaching the Senior Football Championship final for the first time in 13 years before untimately falling to Sean O’Mahony’s in the showpiece in Drogheda.
The club fields boys juvenile sides at all age groups – including a double winning Under 16 team in 2016 – and also has a ladies section that has teams from Under 8 all the way up to their adult team. It includes U10s, U12s, U14s, U16s and minor sides.
